My pick of the Children’s Maps

Each International Cartographic Conference held by the International Cartographic Association holds a Children’s World Map Competition with a chance to win the Barbara Petchenik award.

Whilst the work of children at geoconferences normally tugs at my heartstrings, in my opinion it is not usually anywhere near the standard on show at ICC 2013 in Dresden this year.

Unfortunately attendees can only cast one vote each. My vote went to Anna Bolshakova of Russia. I aim to see what I can do to help promote the competition to get more British entries for the 2015 competition.
